Flights between Nairobi and South Korea

Flights have been launched between Nairobi and Seoul following a codeshare agreement between SkyTeam alliance partners Kenya Airways and Korean Air.

The flights depart Nairobi three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; and from the South Korean capital every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The flight launch was delayed over an embarrassing "PR mistake" in June that landed the Korean Air marketing team in hot water. The company apologised to Kenya after its original promotion described Kenyans as being “full of primitive energy”. The phrase was subsequently changed to “Africa, a continent full of primeval energy.”
