New skyscraper for Cape Town

Zero-2-One Tower would become Cape Town's tallest skyscraper.

A 42-storey skyscaper planned for the Cape Town's Central Business District (CBD) would become the city's tallest building if it receives the go-ahead from planners.

The Zero-2-One Tower is proposed for the northwest corner of Strand and Adderley streets, and if built according to plan the building would be approximately 148m-high.

The skyscraper would comprise 624 apartments, 760 parking bays and 6,000sqm of retail, as well as a viewing deck open to the public.

The project is led by Cape Town's FWJK, the development, quantity surveying, architecture and project management firm responsible for the KPMG Place on the city's Foreshore.

The Zero-2-One Tower would be located near Cape Town station which is set for a R1 billion re-development in the form of a 120-room hotel, office and retail complex on a part of the forecourt of the public transport exchange area.
