Lagos poetry festival

28 Oct-1 Nov. Borderless Words is the title of this performance poetry festival designed to cross boundaries of all sorts – racial, ethnic, gender and language. Performance poetry brings poetry to the stage and places it within the framework of oral history and music. Borderless Words: the Concert is on 30 Oct at the Muson Center and Freedom Park on 31 Oct. The festival also looks at the way technology is changing poetry, the effects of the diaspora and the place of poetry in pop culture. For the full programme see the website.
