Reading of The Blind Side of the Heart
23 February 2012. This appointment will be dedicated to the novel The Blind Side of the Heart, read in English by Ngwatilo Mawiyoo and in German by Susan Nadolny. It tells the breathtaking story of a fascinating mother, Helene, who abandons her seven year old son at a provincial railway station in 1945.
This literature reading is part of the series Spoken Stories, which aims to diffuse German contemporary literature among the Kenyan public.
