Non-political, non-profit making environmental membership organization established in Addis Ababa in 1966. The Society is the oldest organization to advocate conservation in Ethiopia. EWNHS is a partner of BirdLife International. Members receive societal publications, a quarterly newsletter and "Walia", a quasi-scientific journal produced annually. Yearly subscription fee 60 Birr.
