18 May 2006. Professor Ato Quayson of Cambridge University and an expert in African and post-colonial literature is at the British Council to launch a new series of lectures organised by the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (GAAS). Founded in 1959 to promote the study and dissemination of the arts and sciences in Ghana, GAAS organises regular symposia and meetings, awards Ghanaians for their contributions in science, technology and the arts and maintains contact with academies in other countries. 17.30-20.30.
