5-16 Oct. The third Accra Jazz and World Music Festival takes place from 5 October at the Alliance Francaise in Accra. The festival opens with a concert by American pianist Kenny Drew and the Swiss vibraphonist Thomas Dobler.

On 7 October one of France's best-known jazz trumpeters Nicholas Genest performs with Ghanaian guitarist Sir Young. They are followed by American musicians Kevin and KG who play with Neo Soul, a musical genre that fuses contemporary R&B and 1970s style soul with hiphop.

On 12 October the Big Twins Cultural Band perform their trademark mixture of African percussion and heavy brass sessions. On 14 October Ogyah Band with flute magician Dela Botri precede the Pan African Orchestra, which takes inspiration from traditional African music while creating new sounds. Led by composer Nana Danso Abiam, the group interprets traditional themes into an orchestral setting.

Duo Les Nubians and Blitz the Ambassador perform on 15 October. Spanish guitarist Josete Ordonez and his Ghanaian counterpart Kyekyeku end the festival on 16 October.
