Concert by Msondo Ngoma Band

10 October 2012. This concert is performed by the traditional dansi band Msondo Ngoma.

This band was founded in 1964 and was originally named NUTA Jazz Band after the name of its sponsor, the National Union of Tanganyika. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s it was considered one of the leading dansi bands in Tanzania. In 1977 it changed its name to Juwata Jazz and the guitarist Saidi Mabera became the new band’s leader. In 1991 it was named OTTU Jazz band, sponsored by the Organization of Tanzanian Trade Unions.

Concert lasts from 19.00 to 22.30.
