This Geman-French Friendship Concert will be performed by German and French musicians. The first part will focus on classical music by German composers, while the second will highlight some extracts of the opera Carmen, written in 1875 by Georges Bizet. This Frindship concert pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Elysee Treaty, better known as the Treaty of Friendship, established between General Charles De Gaulle and Konrad Adenaur on 22 January 1963 and marked the reconciliation of France and West Germany after two world wars.
