Italian cultural week in Ghana

Exhibitions of contemporary Italian architecture, music and cinema make up the annual Italian cultural week in Accra.

One of the features this year is Tarantula Rubra, a contemporary Italian band, which is holding workshops at the University of Ghana School of Performing Arts on the links between the Italian tarantula, the Puglia folk-dance and traditional Ghanaian music.

The architectural exhibition Small Utopias at the department of architecture at Kwame Nkrumah University is organised by Rome's MAXXI, Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo, and focuses on sustainability and new technologies.

The cultural week will be followed on 25-30 November by the Ghana Italy Trade and Investment Fair at the International Trade Fair in Accra to promote products and services Made in Italy.
