27 May-20 June 2012. This exhibition features the paintings and sculptures by the Kenyan artist Joseph Bertiers.
Bertiers, who lives and works in Nairobi, began his artistic career in his teens painting signs for local bars, butcher shops and beauty parlors.
His works, which consist of satirical and colourful pictorial commentaries, focus on contemporary social and political issues.
In 2006 he was awarded with the Jury Prize at the Juried Competition/Exhibition organized by Alliance Française and Goethe-Institut in Nairobi.
