19-28 April 2007. Singer-songwriter Robin Auld is at the Theatre @ The Pavilion with an evening of music and storytelling to celebrate 25 years in the music business. The show includes live performances, tales of the people and places that have featured in his life and travels, anecdotes about his early days in the South African music business and the stories behind his songs. He is accompanied by drummer Barry van Zyl and Schalk Joubert on bass. Born to Scottish parents in Lusaka, Zambia, Auld began his career as a guitarist before moving into singing and composition. His music combines a variety of styles including pop, rock and Celtic, with strong South African influences. Auld divides his time between Cape Town, Britain and the United States. Thurs-Sat 20.00. R95 or R180 inclusive of a buffet dinner.
