7th Nairobi International Peace Rally.

The annual international peace rally in Nairobi takes place on 16 September at Uhuru Park from 07.00 to 13.00. This years march, organised by Africa Peace Point (APP) and timed to coincide with the United Nations annual international day of peace on 21 September, has the theme Poverty, a threat to peace.

APP is an umbrella organisation of 120 grass-roots peace initiatives founded in 1998. Its main objectives are to network with national and international peace and justice organisations and to promote strategies for peace in Africa. It also maintains a database of peace and justice organisations in the continent.
