The Indian government has announced that Ethiopia is to host India's second international summit with African states in May. While it is believed that India's decision to hold the Indo-African summit in Addis Ababa was partly based on the fact that the city is the seat of the African Union, Indian president Pratibha Patil described the move as "a measure of the special place that Africa enjoys in the hearts of the people of India
