Australian company Riversdale Mining plans to begin extracting coking coal from its mines at Benga, in the northern Mozambican province of Tete, in November. However, due to ongoing work on the port terminal at Beira, in the Sofala province of central Mozambique, it is unlikely that the company will be able to export until the first months of 2012.
