Biometric passports for Mozambique

The Mozambican immigration authorities have now started issuing biometric passports, which contain a microchip containing personal data to identify the holder.

This follows a short delay of about two weeks because of difficulties with the first biometric passports issued in mid-March. These contained spelling mistakes, insufficient space for the holder
