Eko Atlantic City development project.

Plans are underway for a massive new property development on Lagos Island. The N416.5 billion Eko Atlantic City project involves reclaiming over eight square kilometres of land along Bar Beach on Victoria Island and building a mix of residential, commercial, financial and tourist accommodation. Besides providing much-needed accommodation and office space, the project also aims to restore the land lost to coastal erosion over the last 60 years and provide a permanent solution to the problem.

Originally the development was to be handled by the Chagoury Group, one of West Africa
