The corporate headquarters of Nigerian telecoms operator Globacom have been sealed over a tax dispute. The Lagos state internal revenue service closed off the building on Victoria Island on 4 December after the company failed to pay N1.3 billion in alleged outstanding tax liabilities. The agency now says it will only reopen the premises if Globacom pays N500 million and a N500 million fine.
