Manenberg Community Gardens open.

Residents of the district of Manenberg on the impoverished Cape Flats have a new green space for recreation and cultural events thanks to a project to improve living conditions in the area. Established on a former wasteland, the gardens include an open-air stage for musical and performing arts events and space for local people to set up stalls selling tea, coffee and snacks.
