Some 50,000 students at the University of Nairobi are to benefit from improved access to web-based communication tools following a deal between Kenya Education Network and the US-based web giant Google Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, students and staff at the academic institution will have free access to Google Apps including email facilities (Gmail), shared calendars, instant messaging and word processing software under the university
