Prospective visitors to France must now make their initial visa application at the Joint Visa Reception Centre in Accra, which is already operating on behalf of the embassies of Germany, Spain and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Run by VFS Ghana Private Limited, the facility at 19 2nd Crescent, Asylum Down, pre-screens applications for visas to the four countries as well as providing general information and advice before applicants are called to the visa section of the relative embassy for interview. Opening hours are Mon-Fri 08.00-12.00 and the charge is $17 plus VAT or the Cedis equivalent. For information tel. +233 (0)21 229275.
