US president Barack Obama has chosen Egypt to be the stage for a speech on 4 June in which he is expected to reach out to the Muslim and Arab world. The exact location of the speech has not been made known.

The choice of Egypt has drawn mixed reactions, with some seeing it as a tacit approval of the regime of Egypt
