Plans are being drawn up for the development of the Usa-River area following its elevation to the status of township at the start of this year.
The trading area strung along the Arusha-Moshi highway around 25 km east of Arusha was formerly considered a village for administrative purposes.
The development plans will encourage the ordered growth of the urban area and provide residents basic services such as water, electricity, health and education.
