Top managers in Kenya have more disposable income than their counterparts in many industrialised countries according to a survey ranking salaries of chief executives in 48 countries worldwide. The World Pay Report by global management consultancy firm Hay Group ranks Kenya 25th according to earnings after tax and cost of living adjustments, which translates into an average disposable income of Sh7 million ($104,176) per annum. This is just one place below the United States and ahead of the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Italy and South Africa. The highest-ranked countries are Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
