Japanese motor vehicle giant Toyota is to establish a regional African headquarters in Nairobi. A Toyota spokesman said the group planned to expand its operations in the east Africa region and increase production in Kenya of motorcycles for the regional African market. Kenyan prime minister Raila Odinga welcomed the move, which he said would bring employment to the city and was a vote of confidence in the country
