Virtual library launched in Maputo.

The private Higher Polytechnic and University Institute (ISPU) in Maputo has launched an on-line library to facilitate access to educational materials and encourage distance learning. In addition to books the library will contain scientific articles, dissertations, doctoral theses and other university papers and will be accessible to students not just at ISPU but also at other higher education institutions in Mozambique.

Established in 1995, ISPU was the first private higher education institution in Mozambique. It is now one of about a dozen universities including private, public and religious institutions.
