Accra swimming championship

The Ghana Swimming Association (GSA) is holding the Loya Accra Open Swimming Championship on 27 April in the north-eastern Accra suburb of Legon.

The one-day tournament is being organised in collaboration with food company Promasidor Ghana and is open to all junior swimmers and swimming clubs in Ghana.

The male and female categories will be divided into 15-years and over; 13-14 years; 11-12 years; and 10-years and under.

Races include the 50-m and 100-m freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly; and the 200-m individual medley, freestyle relay and medley relay.

In addition to competing in races, the best swimmers will be selected to represent Ghana in the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Juniors in Dubai this August.
