Exploring Ethiopia’s natural history.

21 Oct 2007-8 Jan 2008. The Ethiopian Wildlife and Natural History Society has a full programme of outings over the coming months. Dates for the diary include climbing Mt Wechecha (3,400 m), to the west of Addis Ababa, on 21 Oct; visiting Debre Berhan, one of the oldest towns in the country some 130 km northeast of the capital, and the nearby town of Ankober, the birthplace of the Emperor Menelik, on 27-28 Oct; visiting the southern town of Dilla and climbing Mt Chilalo on 24-25 Nov; and a two-week trip to Debre Markos, Bahir Dar, Gonder, Axum, Mekelle, Woldiya, Lalibela, Woldiya, Dessie and possibly also the Simien Mountains from 26 Dec-8 Jan.
