The theme of this year's show is Gardening for Value: Health, Beauty, Jobs and Income.
The Ghana Garden and Flower show, now in its second year, is designed to highlight the country's horticultural and floricultural assets and their future potential for job creation as well as ecological and health awareness.
Florists, horticulturalists, gardening enthusiasts, home owners and real estate developers focus on the commercial and health benefits of the sector.
There are also workshops, discussion groups, a fashion show, green clinics and a children's section.
The opening ceremony also saw the launch of the quarterly magazine Bloom, Ghana's first horticulture and floriculture publishing initiative.
