A Brief Pre-History of Mankind. The evolution of technology.

A lecture by Philippe Calliet, paleontologist from Nice archaeology in France about the prehistory of mankind before the invention of writing, with examples from this period found in Tanzania and in the south of France.

In Tanzania signs of hominin footprints (probably Australopithecus) and skeletal remains dating back to 3.6 million years ago were found in the volcanic ash in Laetoli in central Tanzania.
