The Heinrich Bll Foundation in partnership with the Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association (EWLA) is giving a talk on gender-based violence at the Goethe Institut as part of its programme to fight gender discrimination and empower women in East Africa and the Horn of Africa regions. EWLA is a private, non-profit and non-partisan voluntary organization founded by a group of Ethiopian women lawyers to pursue the legal, economic, social and political rights of Ethiopian women. Heinrich Bll Stiftung is a political non-profit foundation based in Berlin and affiliated to the German Alliance 90/The Greens party. It works to promote democratic ideas, civil society and international understanding according to the values of the prize-winning German author and political activist Heinrich Bll (1917-1985) from whom it takes its name. 16.00.
