10 June-4 July 2009. On its 15th anniversary the Jonny Cooper Orchestra, one of the most successful professional Big Bands in the history of South Africa, presents a new season at Theatre on the Bay.

This rehearsal band performs its grand repertoire of Big Band Swing music with tributes to The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and Count Basie among others. Formed by local musicians in 1993, the orchestra came to international attention in 2001 and signed up with Prestige Elite records in London. It was nominated South Africa
