The non-profit organisation the Wonder Workshop, which provides training and job opportunities for disabled people in Dar es Salaam, is due to leave its current premises in Kinondoni in January. The organisation has found alternative accommodation on a large plot off Haile Selassie Road in the Masaki neighbourhood but the premises need reconstruction and renovation before the employees can move in.

The work involves cleaning and refitting the main house, which will act as the shop, coffee shop, office and accommodation for volunteers; other spaces must be converted into areas for carpentry, paper and soap making and other activities. To this end the Wonder Workshop has put out a call for funding to support the project and ensure the workers
