Zuma faces

A South African appeal court has reinstated corruption charges against the controversial president of the ruling African National Congress (ANC), Jacob Zuma, in the latest twist in a long-running saga that has already shaken national politics and risks overshadowing general elections later this year.

On 12 January the supreme court of appeal in Bloemfontein overturned a September high court ruling which halted legal proceeding against the country
