25 September 2010. One of Ghana's biggest sporting events takes place in Accra on 25 September. The 24th edition of the Accra Milo Marathon has as its theme 'Race for Life', and comprises categories for male and female.

The 42.2km 'Mass Sports' marathon begins at The Point, Nungua Barrier and ends at the Dansoma Keep Fit club.

Also included is a special under 15 race covering 15k; it starts from the New Times Corporation and ends at the Dansoma club. The event is expected to attract up to 5,000 runners - 3,000 adults and 2,000 under 15 - all of whom are competing for a variety of prizes including trophies, medals, cash and school bursaries.
