Arab Shorts 2010

4-6 December 2010. The second edition of this film festival pays homage to independent Arab filmmakers through the projection of a selection of Arab short films, followed by public discussions with film specialists.

This film festival terminates a three-year project, organised by Goethe Institut in northern Africa, to help independent Arab film production. Among the various initiatives organised by Goethe are: thematic programmes held by film curators in many different Arab countries; journeys to German festivals and visits at German film institutions; the creation of an annual film festival in Cairo, in which Arab filmmakers can present their works and have a creative exchange with their European partners.
