6-24 July 2010. This one-woman play is written and performed by the poet and performance artist Staceyann Chin and directed by Rob Urbinat. It is the autobiography of the author, who uses poetry to tell her dramatic life story from her childhood in Jamaica, where she is brought up in a poor environment and struggles with abandonment, rejection and rapture, to her later political commitment and new life in New York.
This play lasts one hour and 25 minutes.
