Cairo festival of contemporary cinema from the Arab world.
9-16 May. Cairo Cinema Days (Ayam Al Qahera Al Cinema’ya) is a showcase of Arab cinema hosting a selection of 40 short, documentary and feature films produced in the Arab world over the last two years.The event, scheduled from 9-16 May, is organised by Zawya, part of the Thomson Reuters Middle East news service. The festival highlights the best contemporary cinematic from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine Tunisia and Syria. Organisers say that the films on the festival programme have limited distribution both regionally and internationally.
