4-19 November 2011. This play, entitled Death & The Maiden, is written by Ariel Dorfman, directed Mumbi Kaigwa and stars Mumbi Kaigwa, Kaigwa Gakunju and Makbul Mohammed.
The story was inspired by the political events in Chile between the late 1980s and early 1990s after the removal of the dictator Augusto Pinochet.
It tells the story of a country in which the protagonists, a couple formed by an ambitious young lawyer and his wife Paulina, are experiencing an uneasy transition to democracy.
