9-12 Nov 2006. This years edition of the annual Cape Town dragon boat festival at the V&A waterfront opens on 9 Nov with the traditional awakening of the dragon. This is followed with team and company challenges on 10 and 11 Nov. The event is scheduled to end with a prize-giving ceremony followed by live music on 11 Nov although 12 Nov has been set aside in the event of bad weather. R350.
