11 May-26 June 2010. Foreign cultural institutes in Addis Ababa host a series of events on 11 May dedicated to the relationship between European and Ethiopian fashion. The programme opens at the British Council at 12.00 with a lunchtime panel discussion on Promoting Ethiopian Fashion in Europe, with participation from Ethiopian designers.
This is followed by a workshop on fashion and cinema with fashion expert Philippe Pourhashemi at the Goethe-Institut from 16.00-18.00; and by an illustrated talk on African influences on European fashion, also by Pourhashemi, at the Alliance Ethio-Fran
