Exhibition by Joshua Miles

15 Dec-31 Jan. This exhibition, entitled Cape Beauty, displays a new series of colourful handmade woodblock prints by Joshua Miles.

His impressionistic and delicate woodblocks, which combine masterful cutting with the simple Japanese style, consist of peaceful pastoral Overberg and Karoo scenes to sweeping scenes of Cape Town.

This master woodblock printmaker attended Michaelis Art School (The University of Cape Town), where he received the coveted Michaelis Prize. He currently lives along with other contemporary artists in a new artists’ settlement in Baardskeerderbos in the Overstrand.
