12-15 Nov 2009. This is the first edition of the annual High Vibes Festival, organized by the French embassy in association with the ministry of culture and chieftaincy, the ministry of tourism, UNESCO, Contemporary African Music Promotions (CAMP) and other national and international institutions.

The programme involves four days of non-stop concerts by Ghanaian musicians and six artists from other African countries: Guinea, Congo, Benin, Nigeria, Senegal and Liberia. The line-up includes King Ayisoba, Ramblers Band, Takashi, Gyedu Blay Amboley, Amandzeba, K.K. Fosu, Agorsor and Kwabena Kwabena.

Festival highlights include a free concert at the Holy Gardens (Kwame Nkrumah Circle) on 13 Nov and a VIP night at Accra
