Educational drama company Theatre for Africa presents "Jump the Music Train", the story of the Khayelitsha United Mambazo, a male voice a cappella choir, and their journey from the Eastern Cape homelands to the shacks of Cape Town. Directed by Luke Ellenbogen and starring Nicholas Ellenbogen, Astara Mwakalumbwa and the 12-member singing group, the musical drama presents the beauty of Mambazo music against the historical backdrop of the mass migration of people to the Mother City. Formed in the early 1990s, Khayelitsha United Mambazo perform daily at the Waterfront in Cape Town, as well as being involved in various community development projects. Their music is inspired by Ladysmith Black Mambazo, which rose to fame with Paul Simon
