5-29 July 2006. Zingi Mtuzula, Pierre Malherbe and Mbulelo Grootboom star in Zambia-born screenwriter and playwright John Hunts new satire Maybe Sunshine up Ahead about the modern South Africa. Three men, each representing a different South African experience, find themselves at a scrap yard on the edge of an unidentified urban area. Daniel (Mtuzula) is an older black man who remembers all too clearly the cost of freedom; Vusi (Grootboom) is an optimistic black youth; while George (Malherbe) is a middle-aged disillusioned white man. Brought together by circumstance, the three men have to resolve their differences before they can realise that their destinies are entwined and that there may just be sunshine up ahead. Directed by Adam Neill. Audiences can join the cast for mulled wine after the show. 20.00. Tickets R50, students and pensioners R40, preview nights (5-7 July) R25.
