20 January 2011. About Water (Ueber Wasser) is a German movie by Udo Maurer from 2007, which investigates the most important resource of human life and survival.

The focus is on water problems caused by a dramatic climate change. The film is divided into three episodes, in which people from different parts of the world have to deal with water problems. The first one is dedicated to drought and is set in Afghanistan, where fishing villages are surrounded by desert after the disappear the Aral Sea. The second episode deals with flooding in Bangladesh, where houses become boats. The third part of the movie shows the consequences of the pollution of water and is set in Nairobi, where the availability of drinking water determines the people
