Signs of History Exhibition

3-31 July 2012. This joint exhibition, organized by the Mexican Embassy in Nairobi, is entitled Signs of History. It displays the works by Martha Delgado Ponce and Casandra Sabag Hillen.

In contemporary art, the traditional representation has been replaced by the presentation of objects. Delgado and Sabag try to recover the representation of an image by means of the reappraisal of paintings. Photographic resources are used to develop their works and create diverging paths.

Both graduated at the National School of Plastic Arts (ENAP) of the Mexican National Autonomous University (UNAM). Delgado was a student of Maestro Ignacio Salazar and Sabag has a degree and postgraduate studies in Visual Arts.
