14 Nov-9 Dec 2007. The second Cape Town International Summer Music Festival presents a series of concerts and recitals of classical music at venues across the city. The line up includes the acclaimed cellist Maria Kliegel, who opens the festival on 14 Nov accompanied by the South African pianist, Elna van der Merwe. Kliegel will also perform with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) playing the Elgar Cello Concerto on 22 Nov. The opening symphony concert on 15 Nov features Russian pianist Olga Kern playing Beethoven
