27 Nov 2005-26 March 2006. The 2005/2006 season of the Appletiser Summer Sunset concerts in the Kirstenbosch botanical gardens continues with acoustic rock outfit and Flat Stanley on 26 Feb. This is followed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra South Africa directed by Jonny Cooper with tributes to Swing Legends on 5 March, and then by an original mix of funk, hip-hop, R&B and jazz by Strait & Narro on 12 March. UK-based singer-songwriter, guitarist and author Robin Auld stops off at Kirstenbosch on his summer tour of South Africa to launch his new album Diamond of a Day on 19 March. The season closes on 26 March with The Rudimentals, voted the country's Best Reggae/Ska act of 2004, with their unique brand of African ska. Performances begin at 17.30. Tickets cost R35 for adults, R25 for students and R10 for children.
