Swiss-Egyptian project examines visual arts

The Swiss arts council Pro Helvetia examines the development of the visual arts in both Switzerland and Egypt at the beginning of the 21st century.

The project starts with a panel discussion led by Swiss art critic Pablo Mueller and Egyptian artist Youssef Limoud. The two experts will examine the different cultural and historical backgrounds of their countries and the effects on the visual arts.

The Cairo office of Pro Helvetia also covers Lebanon, Tunisia, Jordan and United Arab Emirates.
